Our first Zoom speaker during the Quarantine, Melody Vazquez, talked about the YAC.
Ms. Vazquez discussed her company's mission to positively impact the lives of youth experiencing homelessness through empowerment, mentorship, and community collaboration in order to provide transformative opportunities. She talked about giving out snacks to the homeless youths of San Diego and helping them move to adulthood. She was very excited about one young man who she helped open his first checking account.
As Rotarians listened intently and ask questions, she provided statistics and shared a picture of the youth holiday party. YAC's website is https://www.yacsd.org/ , and she provided her email address ( melody@yacsd.org) to Rotarians who wanted more information.
