The Contreras family stood proudly beside their son, a Student of the Month (SOM).

Rather than a breakfast, teachers and volunteers drove to students' homes to celebrate their achievements. Each student received balloons, a lawn sign, and a red goody bag. One item listed the phone number of contact person for a story in the Village News.

Rotarian Jen Weeks joined the Fallbrook car parade and celebration.  The whole group travelled to each student’s house to celebrate the excellent schoolwork.

Teacher Alana Milton, who spoke from the phone, talked about Kaitlyn Collings's accomplishments.

Posing next to her SOM sign, Kyleigh Philo (center) stood with her parents.

Teacher Marin Pinnell posed with SOM student Lianna Arnold after her achievements presentation.

As a sponsor of SOM, Rotary enjoyed hearing about these high school students accomplishments and future college work.
