Gloria Rocha smiles with Don Weeks after the Mariachi Festival Update.

Rotarian Rocha provided our club with information about the Route 78 Rotary Club’s Mariachi Festival with Mariachi Champaña Nevin — World Class Mariachi group. Performances include Monica Abrego, one of Mexico’s most outstanding soprano and Ballet Folklórico Tierra Caliente de Jose Jaimes. This event takes place on April 10th at the California Center for the Arts in Escondido.

In the afternoon, there is a VIP Tacos and Tequila Reception at the  Sculpture Courtyard of Center for the Arts Museum in Escondido.Things have been going so well that this VIP experience is already sold out!

Evening concert tickets are still available at https://artcenter.org/event/8th-annual-mariachi-festival/. The music is so beautiful it can bring tears to your eyes. Dancing occurs in the aisles at this amazing fundraiser. Proceeds will support college scholarships, school materials, literacy programs & leadership opportunities for youth in North County.

Note: The presentation had both Zoom and In-Person attendance. Isn't it great to see Sandy smiling online in the photo?

After the Mariachi Festival Update, Bonsall Rotarian John Frandell -- a Wells Fargo Financial Advisor -- gave an informative talk about our current economic situation. During the COVID shutdown, the government put more funds in circulation resulting in higher gas and housing prices. The Ukraine War also impacts the economy. Don't Worry!  Stay Invested! Be Cautious! We are fundamentally strong with a 3.6% unemployment rate.
