Can you imagine what it was like to be assigned to a new location with a special needs child and have to put together school supplies?
As part of the Training, Education & Outreach, Camp Pendleton's EFMP provides provides school supplies to families for special needs children. EFMP's Back to School event was in July, but units can transfer to base at any time resulting in a waiting list of special-needs children who need school supplies.
President Jen had asked the first club meeting what excites everyone at our club. The biggest response: Everyone wanted to do projects together as a service to the community. Multiple people said working with like-minded individuals who were grateful for giving. It was the camaraderie!
So it was nice Rotarians did something to bring joy --- with the help of Miss & Teen Fallbrook Courts! "Service Above Self" at our club meeting!!
