Our Club gets District 5340 Facebook Recognition from San Diego Club 33.
San Diego Club 33 started the hygiene collection, and SD Rotarian David Oates sent out the call for supplies. Throughout January, our Rotarians brought in hygiene items for One Safe Place in San Marcos to support a District 5340 project. One Safe Place provides free support services all under one roof to anyone who has experienced abuse from human trafficking, violence, and any other abuse.
Our club pulled together laundry sheets, Tide pods, shampoo bottles, Dove bars, liquid soap diapers, wipes, and more. George obtained an outside monetary donation so Don could make a Costco run for more toiletries. Nick Beye and Robin Mells worked together to bring in teeth cleaning supplies. Some Rotarians obtained cleaning lotions from Cindy's Mary Kay products.
After the club delivered two carts full of personal products. SD Rotarian Dave Oates added our club’s photo to District 5340’s Facebook page. Great Teamwork Rotarians!
