Our speaker on February 21st was Ken Munson who spoke on the importance of DNA and the services available nowadays for genetic history and family tree matching. Ken gave the club his personal story of adoption as a child and how services such as ancestory.com have made a big impact on his life by matching him to new found family members, some of which live locally. Ken found through DNA database searches that he has 7 other brothers and sisters and 15-20 cousins. He has been providing adoption search services pro bono to people because he knows how important it is to know about ones' family history.
